3 Easy Video Marketing Tips to Generate Sales

Have you ever wondered how video marketing could help generate and boost sales for your business?  Or maybe you’ve wondered how incorporating a video could help you reach out to potential customers for an event? Whatever the case may be, a video could nonetheless help you achieve that goal.

It’s no secret that businesses are leaning towards video marketing nowadays, but it can be quite daunting when you don’t know where to start or even how a video will help you generate sales or boost your reach to your target audience. Well, I’m happy to tell you that it most definitely can.

Using video marketing is a surefire way to see improvement in sales and conversion rates. it is proven that including a video on your landing page can increase conversion rates by up to 80%! Through a video, a customer can find out enough about your brand to make a purchasing decision. Keep reading for the actionable ways to make video marketing generate sales for your brand!

1. What’s Your Main Goal?

When it comes to video marketing, the best of the best are those who are setting goals. Goals could make you 376% more likely to be successful in your business endeavors. So, when deciding to go forth with content and video marketing, it’s very important to set up a goal to ensure success.

First things first, you need to know why you want to create a video. What is your goal? Are you trying to convey a message? The most important thing here is that you know why you want to create a video in the first place. This will make the creative process a whole lot easier. Once you’ve got that set in stone you can go ahead and create your video since you already know what you’re working towards.

There are a few ways to solidify your goal. One is by determining your target audience. If you know what specific type of person you are trying to reach with your video, you’re more likely to see engagement and conversion. You don’t want your video falling on deaf ears! A great way to really narrow down the goal is by specifying your target demographics.

Another way to solidify those video marketing goals is by considering the marketing sales funnel. Your potential customers are at different stages throughout the funnel:

Once you’ve researched more about the marketing sales funnel, determine where your target audience may be standing in this funnel. Are you just grabbing their attention at this point, and need to reel them in? Or are they already deep into your website, and you need to close that sale? All of this information is essential, because it encourages everything from what message your video content conveys, to where it is posted.

2. What Do You Do After The Video Is Made?

So now you have your video made, and it’s time to post it. Most people will post it on Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, and any other social platforms. While there’s nothing wrong with that, typically what you’re going to find is that you’re only going to get a couple hundred views, and probably not that many sales. That can be disappointing if you’ve spent time and hard work creating say, a company “About Us” video.

So, in order to work around that, my best advice would be to promote your video and set aside maybe $100 as your Ad Spend money. That way, you can ensure that your video is reaching a wider audience. When you run your video as a promotion, you can set your demographics and make sure it’s going to an audience that’s likely to benefit from what your company has to offer.

3. How Do You Generate Sales with Video Marketing?

Next I would recommend adding said video to a landing page on your website. On the landing page, add the video and a form where people can put in their contact information so that way when they’re watching your video, they’ll be motivated to put their information because they want to hear more. Some people go above and offer an incentive such as a free e-book or a free product that they will find useful and BOOM! that’s how you get your lead and that’s how you’ll get to track your results from the video.

So remember, first set your goal with what you’re trying to accomplish. Then after you create your video, you can move on to your strategy.  Your strategy should include a way for your potential customers to easily input their information. Most times while they’re watching the video or after, they’ll be motivated to take the next step and if you don’t offer an easy way for them to do just that, they’ll just end up forgetting about it or clicking away.
